Hey there and welcome to the WoodworkerInfo.com blog –

There’s just something about wood that just can’t be explained… If you build a beautiful piece and put it in a place that draws some foot traffic (like on your mantle shelf or your coffee table) it’s almost impossible for people not to take notice and to keep themselves from picking the object up and handling it.

If the finish is well done, you’ll likely see them caressing the object without them even being conscious of what it is that they are doing… I love this about wood!

People young and old… even those who have never worked a piece of wood in their life are still somehow drawn to it and it brings them enjoyment — personally, I just think that’s cool.
